You might be interested to know that Lon Mabon is in deep doo-doo
in this State of late. It seems that conservative political
candidates are running from him in droves, loudly screaming that
they don't want the OCA's endorsement of their candidacy. They
finally figured out that it is a negative, rather than a positive
element in their campaign, and greatly skews their chances of
winning an election in favor of their opponent.

Also, several of Lonnie's top lieutenants have fled the OCA and
written guest editorials declaiming it. One carried a headline
that said "OCA VALUES NEITHER REPUBLICAN NOR CHRISTIAN." Shortly
thereafter, Lonnie was quoted in an item as saying (and I
paraphrase) we're behind in signature collection; the people of
the State of Oregon have decided they are opposed to paid
petitioners, but, come the deadline, we'll have the necessary
signatures to get our latest proposed amendment on the ballot.

Yeaaaah. Riiiiiiight!

Lonnie is, in this State at least, whistling past the graveyard.
Too bad the movement he spawned isn't doing as poorly nationwide.
I suspect it's only a matter of time before conservative
candidates figure out that the endorsement of his ugly movement is
the kiss of death on their chances of getting elected.

... AIDS and Global Warming don't scare me: Pat Robertson does!
